Research Topic on Leakage

Under normal circumstances, gas leakage is invisible and intangible. To ensure that the conclusion of leak detection is consistent with the actual leak state of the product under working conditions, there is need to complete many assessments, experiments, and compilation of related technical documents prior to the implementation of airtightness inspection:

● Whether the seal structure of the product is reasonable;

● Whether the material, hardness and shape of the seal ring can meet the sealing requirements;

● Temperature alternating experiment (in the case of comparatively large temperature difference in the environment of operating conditions);

● Pressure alternating experiment (in the case of comparatively large pressure change in operating conditions);

● Vibration impact test (in the case of long distance transportation or relatively strong vibration under operating conditions);

● Whether the value of critical leak rate is reasonable;

● Whether the leak rate conversion is accurate, and the relevant parameters are as follows:

◎ Bore diameter

◎ Differential pressure

◎ Mass loss

◎ Different testing pressures

◎ Different testing media

● Whether the specification for leak detection process is scientific, rigorous and applicable;

After the completion of the above series of work, scheme for leak detection process, patent, enterprise standard/industry standard/national standard and other research subject results are finally formed. National and industry experimental standards drafted (or participation in drafting) by Boyi Pneumatics include the followings, National Standard for Differential Pressure Air Leak testerr, Calibration Specification for Reference Leaks by Soap Film Flow, Test Method for the Durability of Motorcycle Reed Valve Type Secondary Air Supply Mechanism, Guide for the Selection of Aircraft Structural Leak Detection Methods, Detection of Aircraft Cabin Sealing Leakage test, Leak Detection Method for Pressure decay in Aircraft Seal Structure.
